UTEN began in South Korea, where design and durability are part of everyday living.

In South Korea, Oh Ju Hyeong (오주형) saw how everyday home products often broke down too quickly, lacked thoughtful design, and didn’t truly serve the needs of modern families—especially his own. Frustrated by flimsy storage solutions and dull aesthetics, he envisioned something better: a product that could be both functional and beautiful, practical for parents and playful enough for kids.

UTEN quickly found its place in korean homes, known for its clean design, vibrant color palettes for the kids, and long lasting materials. It wasn’t about making the cheaper product - it was about making the right one.

Now UTEN is expanding internationally through UTEN USA, led by Aaron Oh (오채영), a second generation Korean American raised in the U.S. in a household that valued quality above all. Growing up with Korea-made goods that stood the test of time, he saw the opportunity to bring those same reliable, well-designed products to American homes.

As the owner of UTEN USA, he’s introducing these Korean-made pieces to a new audience - students, parents, creatives, and anyone who wants a little more structure and beauty in their daily spaces.

At the core, UTEN is about helping people feel more at ease in their spaces - with products that are reliable as they are beautiful.
